I drove down from Minnesota and the mid-western line
on to Colorado with some folks busy turning water into wine.

Down to Albuquerque in the middle of the night
pulled over sideways for a smoke got caught in the headlights.

Phoenix Arizona in the summer it was hot
nearly burned my barefoot feet getting gear from car in the parking lot.

Up through California and the Great Pacific Coast
on to Portland Oregon the city with the strip club host.

I didn't like the weather but the coffee was just fine
spent my time sitting in the Rose Gardens drinking wine.

After several years I reckon I'd had enough
put all my gear in the back of a flat bed truck.

Stopped off in Idaho to call and see a friend
Its never too late to make amends and its good to be back again.

Its good to be back again.
